Favourite Make-up looks from S/S 2013 Fashion Week

As Summer is in full swing in Europe and Fall will soon be approaching, I'm not ready to pack my bikini away just yet! I thought I'do a quick round-up of my favourite make-up looks from S/S fashion week.

For those who know me well, they all know how much I love to play with my makeup and experiment with different looks! These 6 looks are so versatile and most importantly very wearable. When it comes to beauty looks bare is always beautiful , but so is a bit of colour on the face. Try spicing up your regular makeup routine and experimenting with a few of these looks. You'l be amazed by how making simple changes to your makeup looks can transform your face and bring out your best facial features. Not to mention give you an amazing boost of confidence!

1) Red Alert!

From the Scarlet hues at Burberry to the matte crimson shades at Prada, the red lip is definitely here to stay! it seems that the classic red lip will never truly go out of style. The seasons rouges ranges from pinky-red at Missoni and Oscar de La Renta to the classic power red at Jean Paul Gaultier and to the dramatic black cherry lip at Jonathan Saunders.

2) Eyeliner in HD

While the cat-eye trend which was seen at Thierry Mugler and Miu Miu remains a firm favourite, a modern take on this look- the modern rim-a tight outline, softly smudged, dominated at shows like BCBG, Roberto Cavalli and Lanvin.

3) Lash Parade

I'm obsessed with long, thick lashes and always on an endless mission to make mine appear longer and thicker! This season I'm loving the heavy lash look offset with white eye pencil and matching white nails seen at Moschino. In an upcomming beauty report Il give you all my inside scoop on how I keep my lashes looking lush, my mascara choice, and correct application advice!

4) Bold Brows

Once again bold brows still dominate the runways this season. Charlotte Tilbury, the make up artist at Etro went for a" fresh and clean" 90's inspired look, which can easily be achieved at home with an eyebrow pencil in a soft brown (NOT black) or a soft brown eyeshadow. I use the Mahogany eyeshadow in the Bobbi Brown Pastel eyeshadow palette #7.

A make up artist pro tip: Brush brow hairs down to find your natural shape, then fill in sparse areas with a pencil (or eyeshadow), using short, feathery strokes to shape and even out the contours of your brows.

5) Jewel Coloured Eyes

Turquoise, jade and aqua eyeliner hues were seen on the runway. The look wasn't too extreme for everyday which I loved. Subtle streaks of green eyeliner was seen at Stella Mc Cartney and Kenzo, colour blocking at Kenzo, and saturated smears of sapphire on the base of the lids at Versus.

This look is so simple to do for Summer as it adds a drama to your look without feeling weighed down with makeup, fussing over melting foundation or generally feeling overdone.

6) The Glow Factor

Natural skin dominated the runway and provided the perfect canvas for this seasons top beauty looks. To achieve the perfect skin look I believe a good skincare routine goes a long way. Don't be fooled by appearances, the bare faced and beautiful look is not as easy to achieve as it seems! With the correct products and technique I'l show you how I achieve a flawless Mediterranean Summer look with the help of a few of my favourite basic make up and tools, in my next beauty report! stay tuned!

Lipsticks, primers, blushers, concealers-can all seem a bit overwhelming when trying to organize your makeup bag. I hate messy makeup bags/boxes, its a personal pet peeve of mine! Organizing your makeup and keeping it neat and tidy can become quite a daunting task especially since every season seems to bring a fresh bucket of new must-haves! So how on earth to make sense of it all? For stylish tips on streamlining your assortment, this is how I keep my makeup organized. These storage ideas works for me as I can actually see what I own and get more use out of all my essentials.

Display items in an Elegant way

I like to set things that I use everyday-foundation, powder, concealer, blush, mascara, on a pretty tray. Its essentially an edited-down version of 'my face', and I try to keep the assortment current and interesting. Makeup that I don't use regularly go in a large makeup box separate from my everyday makeup. I store my hair products and hair tools in 2 separate old Louboutin shoe boxes. Separate drawers work well if you have extra drawer space.

Compartmentalize everything else

Within each drawer, use individual boxes for lipsticks, blushers, and eyeshadows. If you'r short on drawer space you can put your makeup in vintage-like boxes on your vanity. I'v used a vintage silver tea set to hold my brushes and eyeshadows, and a vintage crystal ice-bucket to house my lipsticks.

Brush up
For my brushes I use a small vintage silver milk jug that houses all my makeup brushes so I cn store them standing up. You can use any pretty contaier that can easily hold all your brushes. Every few days I clean my brushes with  mild baby shampoo or liquid soap to get all makeup residue out.

Re-purpose Chic Containers

I save any beautiful containers weather they are from candles once they've died down or pretty tea tins, and store small items in them such as your eyelash curler, tweezers etc. I keep all my nail-colour in an empty Decleor skincare box and nail tools in a medium sized zip up makeup bag. In Summer I do prefer to keep my nail-polishes stored in the fridge as this seems to prolong the consistency of the polish for easy application.

Case your lipsticks
I like to store my most worn colour lipsticks and gloss in a small transparent make-up bag along with a few makeup essentials for touch up's when I'm on the go. I can see all the contents immediately instead of wasting time rummaging through my whole makeup bag with the risk of smaller items accidentally falling out and getting lost.

Display Scents

I like to display my perfumes on a beautiful tray in a clutter free zone on my dresser. I wear whatever fragrance I'm in the mood for and don't reserve certain perfumes for 'special occasions'. Life's too short to only wear certain things for special occasions!

Edit Regularly
I like to go through my collection every six month and remove things I don't need anymore. That way I can prevent any eye infections or irritations from wearing expired mascara or unnecessary breakouts from old foundation.
